Our Story

So, where are you from?

It's a question some of us have spent a lifetime answering — through moving cities, moving countries, moving cultures, and building an identity from all of it at once, rather than choosing just one piece.

Third Cultra is inspired by those journeys — the ones our families made, and the ones we've made ourselves. Every piece carries a little of that spirit: pieces that move between places and people the way we have.

We design for movement —

between countries, seasons, moods, and the many versions of you that show up depending on the room. Natural fibres that soften and age with you. Seasonless silhouettes that don't expire with a trend cycle. Gender-neutral cuts because comfort shouldn't come with a dress code. Every collection pulls from the places we've lived, left, and carried with us — not as costume, but as memory.

Our People

Every Third Cultra piece is made in Indonesia, by hands that know the craft — not by machines in a factory we've never seen. We work directly with local artisans and small-scale makers, because the people behind our clothes matter just as much as the clothes themselves.

That means fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term relationships built on trust — not one-off orders. No sweatshops, no shortcuts, no looking away. Where we can, we source materials locally too, supporting the same communities that bring each piece to life.

To us, "made well" isn't just about quality — it's about who made it, and whether they were treated the way we'd want to be treated ourselves.

Our Planet

Sustainability, to us, isn't about doing less — it's about doing things properly. Less excess, less waste, more intention, in every choice we make.

We design in drops, made in small runs, with intention behind every piece — less excess, more thought. Natural fibres are at the core of everything we make: kinder to the earth from the start, and able to return to it when a piece has truly reached the end of its life.

It even comes down to how things are sewn. We favour flat-felled seams, double hems, and French seams — finishes that take more time and care than a quick overlocked edge, but use less thread, create less offcut waste, and simply last longer. Small details, but they add up.

When we custom-dye, we choose natural dyes wherever possible — better for the people working with them, the water they end up in, and the fibres themselves, not to mention better for you when you wear them on your body.

We're not chasing "zero everything" — but every choice, from fibre to dye to drop size, comes back to one question: what happens to this, long after someone's done wearing it?

Our Founder

Gabriela is the child of immigrants, and an immigrant herself — by choice, more than once. Each move meant starting over: new places, new rhythms, new versions of herself to figure out.

For years, that felt like a tension between who she was expected to be and who she actually was. Eventually, she stopped choosing sides. Third Cultra is the result — a wardrobe for anyone building a life from many places at once.

Between worlds, together.
